Growing up in the spiritual town of Glastonbury, after spending her early years travelling Europe in a Big Red Bus with ‘alternative’ parents, it's no wonder that Calli was drawn to yoga from an early age. Calli has practised yoga now, for 18 years or so, admittedly it was an on off love affair in the early years as she navigated her way through her hedonistic teens, but she found that yoga was always there as a constant source of grounding and inspiration and it has continued to be that support throughout her life. Calli went on to do a degree in Music but would always find herself shunning her music studies to find space and time on her yoga mat. It was then that she realised that yoga was truly where her heart lay. Calli has now taught yoga for 5 years and her passion and love for yoga shines through in her teaching style. Calli’s classes are dynamic, playful and flowy, weaving creative, alignment focused sequencing with heart-felt intention, to a backdrop of funky tunes, encouraging a safe space for practitioners to truly feel everything and explore the outstanding capabilities and intelligence of their body. With 500 hours Advanced training under her belt so far, plus being pre and post-natal trained, Calli is a self-proclaimed anatomy geek, who is happiest upside down. She specialises in teaching inversions in a playful and accessible way and is also a keen runner, who has run numerous half marathons and 1 full marathon, from this love of running she has developed specific workshops and classes to support runners in their training. Calli will be assisting Carl through out the Stretch Semi-Intensive YTT's

Physio & 400hr YTT
Ever since I can remember I was fascinated by the human body and mind. As a child I was passionate about learning and understanding physical movements of any kind. I watched people move, trying to read the stories their bodies were telling and from it every time. At the age of 20 I wanted to become a professional dancer. But soon I figured out that I was more interested in preventing injuries than just entertaining folks. So I decided to study physiotherapy. In 2005 I started my love affair with yoga. First I got in touch with Shadow and Bikram style. Then I explored further styles like Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow. In 2010 I graduated from university and started working as a physiotherapist in different hospitals and institutes. In March 2012 I did the 200h Yoga Teacher Training with Vidya Jacqueline Heisel of Frog Lotus Yoga. I volunteered at Suryalila Retreat Center and assisted several YTTs for Vidya. In February 2014 I did a Thai Massage Training followed by a Forrest Advanced Teacher Training with Ana Forrest in July. In March 2015 I completed the 200h Forrest Yoga Foundation Training. Many other teachers have inspired me on my yoga journey such as Sri Louise, Amir Jaan, Simon Low, Les Leventhal, David Swenson and Tiffany Cruikshank. Life and body are constantly changing – so am I. I love the challenge to discover new perspectives and ways to be authentic and to unfold my full potential. The deep yogic breath always supports me. Why all that effort? Not only because it makes me feel alive and connected to my body and my environment but also because it makes me feel independent and free. That vitality nourishes my creativity and optimism. I will always encourage you to explore your own body, to create a sacred space for healing, to realign your body and mind and to cultivate healthy habits.
